I hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! I know I did! we here at Jessie Anne Photography, took a little time to reflect and recharge on some of the important things in life, such as family, friends and the importance of loved ones.
Jessie Anne Photography was founded in the thought of bringing families happiness and joy throughout the years by the simple act of remembering a time passed and gone through looking at a photo. My favorite Christmas movie has always been "White Christmas" (I can't help but feel instantly relaxed and like a child hearing Bing Crosby sing) but my second would have to be "The family Stone".
The reasoning behind my second favorite is because the message rings so true to me. Mom is forever held close and remembered by an amazing image taken of her years ago. It's a simple message but one we so often forget, especially during the hustle and bustle of Christmas. Buying presents, running from here to there, this family and that family, this holiday party, that holiday party and yes those things are all fun and the message is there but in the rush to get there, looking good and have fun with friends we forget to stop and really enjoy the company of those we love and hold so dear.
For me as a Christian woman raised in a Christian home, Christmas means so much more than family, even though we are all family in God's eyes. It means the love of a baby boy that was meant to love and save us all. Ok, Ok I know your shaking your head, if I haven't lost you already. Jessie we know the true meaning of Christmas I mean who doesn't already!?? Well I found out this Christmas in my time of reflecting and recharging that there are some out there who don't! but that is not what this blog is all about.
I lost my Nanny(my dad's mom) 3 years ago, and my Grammy(my mom's mom) 2 years ago and every Christmas I like to go through old movies and photos and remember them, and think that maybe just maybe they are watching us and remembering those times too. so you see this blog is to remind you that even during this season of rushing around from point A to point B make sure you stop, light the fire, make some hot cocoa and pull out the old home
movies, and photos and tell some stories to the kids in us all about the times and people passed, you may just end up feeling recharged too!
